Fuck. Coming back home was a big fucking mistake. My dad just told me he thought I should have stayed at school this summer and gotten a job there. Why didn’t he mention that before I came home?! And I would have liked to stay there, but summer housing was too expensive and I thought I’d just get a job at home this summer and save up money. Then he started nagging me about my grades (he doesn’t even know about the D I got in math yet) while at the same time nagging me about the fact that I don’t want to become a doctor. He told me he doesn’t think there will be jobs for me as a researcher in biology and/or psychology. I know that’s not true, but it causes me to worry so much. He doesn’t realize how much I worry about the future, or that nagging me won’t help especially when he doesn’t know what the fuck he’s talking about. I think he assumes that I’m lazy and naive but I really do care about my future and think about it all the time.

To top it all off it’s like 50 degrees here rn and I’m cold and miserable and just want the weather to be nice

I think next year I’ll just stay at school forever and never come home

This one girl who lives on my floor somehow had way too much stuff that she couldn’t take with her, so she threw out a bunch of perfectly good things in the common room at like 3 a.m.

And we dug through her trash and I got some really nice things, like some bowls and a veggie peeler and a small cooking knife and a fucking Dirt Devil
